Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the inspection services (“Service”) offered by W. Capital Automotive Limited, c.o.b. Greasemonkey Inspectors (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By ordering, scheduling, or paying for our Service, you (“Client,” “you,” “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. Scope and Nature of Service

    The Service provided by the Company is a limited, visual, non-dismantling inspection of a used vehicle at the time of the inspection.

    • Visual & Non-Dismantling: Our technicians will perform a visual inspection of the vehicle’s readily accessible components. Technicians will not dismantle, disassemble, or remove any parts, panels, covers, or components.
    • No Destructive Testing: The inspection does not involve destructive testing. The integrity of structural components (e.g., frame, subframe) is assessed visually, and we cannot guarantee their internal condition.
    • “Snapshot” in Time: The inspection report (the “Report”) represents the condition of the vehicle only at the specific time, date, mileage, and location of the inspection. The Company is not responsible for any failures, issues, or changes that occur after the inspection is complete.
    • Used Vehicles: The Client acknowledges that used vehicles are subject to wear and tear, and may have latent defects that are not discoverable during a visual inspection.

  2. The Report is NOT a Safety Certificate

    The Client explicitly acknowledges that the inspection Report is NOT a provincial “Safety Standards Certificate” (e.g., an Ontario “Safety”), “roadworthiness” certificate, or any other form of government-mandated safety certification.

    The Report is an informational tool only and cannot be used to register a vehicle, pass a government inspection, or establish a vehicle’s legal registration status. The responsibility to obtain a valid Safety Certificate from a licensed mechanic after purchase remains solely with the Client.

  3. Disclaimers and Exclusions

    The Company’s Service and Report DO NOT assess, verify, or include:

    • Legal & Title Status: Verification of vehicle registration lien status, branding (e.g., “salvage,” “rebuilt”), or ownership.
    • Vehicle History: Verification of police records, accident history, insurance claims, or maintenance records. Any third-party history reports (e.g., CarFax, VinAudit) are provided as-is and are not guaranteed by the Company.
    • Emissions Testing: We do not perform “e-tests” or guarantee a vehicle will pass any provincial emissions standards.
    • Manufacturer Recalls: We do not check for open manufacturer recalls.

  4. Estimates, Ratings, and Subjective Opinions

    The Client understands and agrees to the following:

    • Estimates are NOT Quotes: Any repair cost estimates provided in the Report are non-binding, informational, rough estimates based only on visually-apparent defects. They are NOT repair quotes. Actual repair costs from a mechanic may be significantly different after a proper diagnostic and dismantling.
    • Ratings are Subjective: Any numerical ratings or qualitative descriptions (“Good,” “Stellar”) represent the subjective opinion of the individual technician at that time. They must be considered in conjunction with the full list of specific defects and comments identified in the Report.

  5. No Guarantee or Warranty

    The Service and Report are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.

    • No Guarantee: The Company makes no guarantee, representation, or warranty as to the future performance, reliability, or condition of the vehicle. Our service helps reduce purchase risk but cannot eliminate it.
    • No Warranty: The inspection Service itself does not include or imply any warranty on the vehicle or any of its components. Any separate warranty packages offered by the Company are distinct products governed by their own terms and conditions, and are not included with the inspection service unless purchased separately.

  6. Limitation of Liability

    The Client agrees that the final decision to purchase or not purchase any vehicle rests solely with the Client. The Client assumes all risks associated with the purchase.

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability (whether in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise) of W. Capital Automotive Limited, its officers, directors, employees, and technicians for any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from or related to the Service or the Report shall be strictly limited to the amount paid by the Client for the Service.

  7. Acceptance of Terms

    By ordering, scheduling, or paying for the Service, the Client affirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms and Conditions.

REFUND POLICY

This return and refund policy outlines the circumstances under which you may be eligible for a refund on your purchased service. This policy applies to both our online and offline sales.

What if the vehicle has been sold by the time the inspectors arrive at the vehicle seller’s location?

In such a circumstance, we will assign the inspection to your next vehicle that you wish to inspect. You can acquire the service again at any time by referring to your invoice order number.

In the event that our inspector arrived at the specified location on the scheduled inspection day but was unable to complete the job due to a seller or customer issue. The customer has the option to reschedule an inspection on another available day. In this situation, there will be additional costs involved.

What if I want a refund after making a reservation?

After you make a reservation, we will appoint a technician for the time and day you specify. As a result, you are ineligible for a refund; your only choice is to transfer the booking to another individual for a checkup. If you need further information, please contact us directly.
